Rochester gets a bad wrap because of the weather but it's really not that bad. Not to mention it makes the summers all the nicer. Plenty of golf courses (PGA Championship next year in Pittsford at Oak Hill), festivals, parks, fishing etc.

Just big enough to never be bored but not so big you get lost in the crowd. I think we're the 70th largest market in the country.

I go to FL a couple times a year and that's a place I wouldn't want to live. Long, flat, straight streets with strip malls every 30 seconds. Not a lot of character.
