Assuming the salary cap stays the same as it is now and we carry over no money from prior years, that would leave us 35M of cap room to fill the following holes:

RB, OG, RT, OLB, S

Some of that money will be used to resign Revis. And some of those positions will be filled (and some of the cap room will go away) when the Jets sign or replace Slauson, Moore, Maybin, Landry, Bell, Pace, and Thomas this coming offseason.

But with two drafts between now and the 2014 season, and real cap room to play with (and the ability to jettison either or both of Sanchez and Holmes if their play doesn't match their contracts by then), the Jets are well positioned to make noise.
Maybe my math is bad.. but $35 mil to replace 7 starters, resign Revis, and pay for two years of draft picks doesn't seem like much.
