Everything you say here is correct and more.
BUT, Obama and his cronies have pandered some much to so many that they are beholden. Out of work? No problem - welfare. No money for college? No problem - we'll pay for you. Don't worry about YOU paying taxes - we'll soak the rich. Can't afford mandated health insurance? NO problem - the government will subsidize you. On and on and on.
