No it doesn't. He sabatoged Simpson Bowles because his personal power like every other Washington official comes from their ability to legislate tax give aways in the form of deductions to their constituents. He hasn't named a single tax deduction that goes away. Without that he has no plan at all. Mortgage deductions aren't going away, charitable deductions aren't going away, farm subsidies aren't going away, deductions for dependents aren't going away. When he has the balls to put out the list of popular deductions that he is going to get rid of let me know.
Reagan, Bradley and Gephardt got it done to some extent because they were men with balls. Ryan is a tool. He, like the President were the 2 most responsible for sabatoging the only real plan to bring the budget in line.
