My wife is an Apple slut. She'll buy anything Apple, whether she needs it or not. And since Apple tends to introduce expensive devices that make obsolete its previously-issued expensive devices, we have a drawer full of overpriced ipods, shuffles, etc that will never be used again.
On the other hand, 18 months ago I bought a bunch of Apple stock @ $300 a share that is now up to $700. So these idiots have their uses.
