clearly i'm not dumb enough to compare Brees to Sanchez, i'm just illustrating the point that switching QB's isn't going to magically change L's to W's, a la Tim Tebow.
it's a team game.

That's not the point anyone has been trying to make here at all. The point is Sanchez is done. We know what he is, we know what he always will be. After losing Revis (and probably Holmes for a while), no one is honestly looking for wins. Hoping for em? Sure. The people asking to see a new QB in there are the guys who realize that it honestly cannot hurt to try out McElroy or Tebow at this point, so why not do it? Rex needs to grow a pair and do what's best for the team. Do I think that this happens this week? No. I think Mark gets at least one more week. But if he sh!ts the bed like he did today, against Houston, on national television, then it wouldn't shock me to see him get benched in favor of one of the back ups.
I've defended Sanchez time and time again, but today was the breaking point for me. I watched him continue to turn the ball over and most disturbing of all, I watched him make two of the worst throws I've ever seen after being booed for his poor play. That says to me that can't handle the pressure. He has crumbled mentally and just doesn't play well enough to deserve the starting spot anymore. Personally, I want Greg to get a shot but I'm expecting Tebow at some point before that happens. However, at this point the production cant be worse than Mark so I honestly don't care who's back there.
It's time to man up and admit it. Mark Sanchez is not the franchise quarterback we thought he would be for the New York Jets.
