Nick Jr is a little different because it is not a separate entity from the other Nick networks (Nick, TeenNick, Nicktoons) all which bring in revenue. Also, Nick Jr is now airing commercials in the evening hours (10pm-2am).
Point being, it isn't the same thing.
My son is in love with Sesame Street. He gets 20 minutes a day, maybe 30 if it's raining.
