They're paying Calvin Pace 8 million dollars to be an excellent player; does he even have a sack this year. They're paying Mark Sanchez an absurd amount of money, and they're paying Santonio Holmes 10 million dollars a year to be a number one receiver. Revis is one of the few players on the team who actually delivers the performance that they pay him for.

The Jets are already 6 million under the cap, and they'll be much further under the cap once they get rid of some of the players listed above. Paying Revis is not the issue; it's paying all the players who don't deserve it.
