So they played him thru pain for 2 weeks just before the bye week(when he could have rested) when he wasnt healthy, but now are resting him because they feel its not wise to put him out there?
Riiiiiight.
GO JETS!

Gets even funnier.
Ironic thing is that Dan Fouts and the other announcer talked about how plodding a pace the Jets had. Questioned whether they realized that they were down by a bunch and time was clicking away.
Quote:
With the Jets limping into a bye week, will the media move Ryan to number one on its hit parade? Yes, numero uno behind the "quarterback controversy," the pedestrian play calling of offensive coordinator Tony Sparano, and what's ailing the once-reliable Jets special teams operation run by Mike Westhoff, the man who apparently created the genre.
Sunday, there was ample opportunity for Fouts and Eagle to elevate Ryan to No. 1 bullseye for anyone shooting arrows at the usual suspects. In the third quarter, with Miami up by 24 points with four minutes left, the Jets offense acted as it was playing from ahead. Fouts had talked about their lack of pace before. Now he was infuriated.
"Do they realize they are 24 down with four minutes to go in the third quarter?" He asked. "They broke the huddle with 18 seconds to go on the play clock."
Enter Eagle to punctuate his partner's remark. "There's just no sense of urgency, especially considering that the fate of their season, in many ways could be on the line."
