It's moronic to think this hire nullifies the addition of a starting shortstop, starting center fielder, another outfielder, two starting pitchers, a closer, and a catcher.
So therefore I must ask, do you watch baseball? A baseball manger doesn't need a game plan like football or basketball coaches. He just needs to plug in a lineup, which is 95% done for him on most teams before pitchers and catchers report.
