There are many red tailed hawks in my neck of the woods, and they say even some golden eagles around. Haven't seen the eagles, but the hawks are beautiful birds. I actually saw hawk coitus one day while hanging out with my son at the playground.
I was at a farm two summers ago, and the guy was raising pigs. I asked him why the pig pen has fencing over the top of the pig fence. He said hawks have swooped in and picked up the piglets, so they had to fence in the top.
