Regardless, Tannenbaum was so wrapped up in that negotiation, he ignored practically everything else. To say there were no FA's ignores the fact that trades can be made. I'm not a GM. He is. He's the guy who looks at every roster in the NFL and gets on the phone and calls the other GM's to make deals. It's not just about who was or who wasn't available in FA to help improve this team.
Offense was completely ignored and still is to this day. Why? Because we have a DC as HC and that's what he cares most about.
