The Thomas Jones was a FAIR trade. Jerry Angelo and Mike Tannenbaum believed and followed the value chart for draft picks. Many GM's have followed that chart since its creation.
To the casual observer it would appear the Jets got worked over. But if you are knowledgeable enough you'd figure out that is how teams work trades involving draft picks.
