It's not like this Revis situation came out of nowhere or happened overnight. The Jets couldn't get him signed long term the last time his contract was up and there was a lengthy hold out. Revis wants a lot of money. Imagine if the Jets let him play this season and don't trade him. He hits the free agent market and there is no way the Jets can afford to outbid other teams for his services. He has already shown he is more about money than team. If he was about team he would agree to a reasonable long term deal with Jets but he wants all the money he can get. Jets have no choice but to trade him and this scenario didn't pop up over night!
