I brought this point up as well earlier in the week. The Jets played 11 games this year against teams in the bottom 1/3 of passing offenses. 12 if you include the Rams, which were just outside the bottom 1/3.
Against the 4 Teams that had a passing pulse(NE, Pitt and Houston) the Jets allowed 266 yards a game and gave up 8 passing TD's with only 1 pick.
It's nice to use that argument that the pass defense was just as good without him, but it's simply not true.
