Few things of note here....

The detailed analysis of the run game probably explains why we didnt need an experienced OLine coach, from a philosophical standpoint. MM has a run game philosophy that he wants to use and thats what we are going with. Teaching it is his job and the oline coaches, as opposed to an oline coach like callahan implementing his philosophy.

I think this is a great offense for powell. By opening day he should be ready to handle 20 plus carries in an NFL offense, is quick enough to make the cuts and open field runs and is an above average pass catcher and blocker....perfect opening day starter. We should be able to find his backup in the draft and also use mckinght.

If he gets his head out of his a$$ Holmes should thrive in this offense. I worry about his alligator arms in traffic but he is an excellent double move WR and should excel running a slant that he turns upfield for a deep chance. Same goes for kerley....he isnt as fast but he should be able to play a role similar to desean.

I think Dbrick should also do well in a zone heavy run scheme....but we do need guards obviously. Anything can happen with this staff being 1 and done, but when you look at the draft a player like barret jones who is smaller, but smart and athletic would be a great guard for this offense IMO over a player like larry warford who is more of a mauler.

Lastly, and i dont know how we do it, but flynn should be perfect for this offense. Even though his sample size is small, this is very similar to the offense he ran in GB and his last preseason game of the year his completion % was over 75% (yea it was preseason, we just dont have anything else to go on). He is a decent athlete who can move in the pocket and run the sprint draws etc and probably an occaisonal zone read play
