The Jets play hard ball with them. Take a pay cut or we will cut you right now. If you agree to take a paycut, you could still remain with the team and possibly even get into the playoffs in 2013.
I'm not saying playoffs in 2013 is a realistic expectation, it isn't, but it certainly is possible.
If the overpaid veterans are willing to help the team out, those playoff hopes look even more realistic.
