How about this? The Head Snap.
The play is overshadowed for a couple of reasons.
1. Although it was part of a game that set the NFL back 20 years with a final score of 3-0, the Jets actually won the game. It was the last game the Jets would win in '93... They lost the last 3 games of the season. They needed an improbable upset by the Pats to get them into a win and in situation vs the Houston Oilers on that last Sunday night. The Oilers rested Warren Moon and started Cody Carleson instead. It set up perfectly for the Jets. Unfortunately, we were humiliated as the game was never competitive, losing 24-0. The Jets finished 8-8 and Coslet was canned.
2. The play and season get buried in the flurry of embarrassments that were to follow over the next 3 seasons under Pete Carroll (the spike play and the 94 collapse) and the Kotite era (basically every game, usually featuring Bubby Brister)....
