Since they've brought in Welker he's always been his favorite target...Brady's a quick passing QB who's very accurate and relies heavily on YAC.
Brandon Lloyd was signed for what reason now.

The Pats' offense is built off of Brady identifying mismatches on the field and exploiting them. Brady's deep ball is fairly average compared to say, Flacco, Stafford or Vick, but it's serviceable. Brady is conservative by nature and prefers to throw where he knows his receiver can get the ball, rather than a gunslinger like Flacco who chucks and prays to Torrey Smith. In 2007, though, he had faith in Moss' ability to make circus catches and repeatedly threw questionable bombs to him.
If you give Brady a burner like Smith, Mike Wallace, etc. who can actually get behind a safety, he'd throw deep all day. It's not his fault the Pats can't draft a solid outside-the-numbers WR to save their lives. Brandon Lloyd was not that guy. Many Pats fans would agree, though, that they need a guy like that in order to take an already extremely efficient offense to that next level when they go up against elite defenses come playoff time.
