Not as stupid as claiming players themselves don't control their own destiny with their play and are instead interchangeable pieces of clay that can magically become good players by coaching.
If a chef is given rotten vegetables and spoiled meat to cook with, do you blame the chef when the meal tastes bad?
Whining about the coaching staff not turning Sanchez into a franchise QB is like complaining that a chef can't make ground beef taste like filet mignon. Like a chef, there is only so much coaching can do.
