But it's obvious one of the best teams in the league wasn't going out of their way to keep him around and then he landed with one of the most disappointing ones. And this after another major disappointment reportedly passed on him for their vacant GM job. So, it's kinda like a demotion.
I think Balke must be a tough guy to work with. Gamble and Scot McCloughan and Balke all came up at the same time, Balke came out on top and the other two guys bailed.
