If the Jets wanted to trade Sanchez, it certainly can happen. There are options (a new contract, a restructured contract, the Jets taking on part of the original guaranteed salary).
You're making an assumption that he's untradeable because of his recent play and his contract. That's a total fallacy....sorry.
