Probably some time after I quit going to church. I stopped listening to people trying to tell me what gay people were and, for the lack of a better term, listened to my own heart. That, and speaking with people I'd met who were gay, I realized that they don't choose to like their own sex just like I don't choose to like the opposite sex. You are or you aren't.
