Francois Hollande was elected president with a socialist platform (light years from what Americans consider Obama socialism). He has plans to tax 75% all revenue > 1M €. Depardieu said F- that and took Russian citizenship.
It’s crazy, and I doubt it will ever come out, but still, it was part of his platform. He said during the campaign “I hate rich people”, funny considering when he was married he was in the highest tax bracket.
