The credit card bill came due and it's time for the Jets to deal with their debt and their talent deficit. Rex and the franchise had a lot invested in Mark Sanchez and not only did he not become the franchise qb that the team needed but he's become a major liability.

Every aspect of the team has been in a downward trend from the QB to the coaching staff and the overall talent roster the last few years. In 2013, The Jets are going to be a very young and unproven roster with very few elite talents.

Time to come to reality here. The writing is on the wall with permanent ink.
In all seriousness do you have any idea how bad sanchez was and how much his atrocious play affected the teams ability to win?

26 turnovers in back to back seasons and we won 14 games in those 2 seasons....that means that Rex has enough ability to field somewhat decent teams even when his QB is playing at the lowest possible level.

Who would have kept this team focused and the locker room together when the defense was playing well while the QB threw picks in the redzone, and fumbled when sacked. How should we have done with an OC who had no clue how to run an offense in the 2013 NFL.

Yea rex deserves blame for sticking with sancehz, and hiring sparno, but blame him entirely is ridiculous.

As for 2013 being a failure before we even draft....can anyone say where we will be WORSE in 2013 then we were in 2012?

OC - MM is probably 100 times more skilled then sparano

QB - if we find the most conservative gmae manager in history, we will still be 2 wins better at the position. Forget if we get flynn and he turns into an average QB.

RB - Greene was unable to make anyone miss or gain yards after contact. Nor was he a good enough receiver to even make the defense think about screen passes. Powell or whoemver else will be a huge upgrade.

WR - Hill cant get worse and should show some improvement. Any replacement (Braylon, draft pick) will be better then clyde gates

Injuries - Holmes (while a jerk) will help the WRs. Revis will be back or will get us 2 young players in return. Either keller will be back or we will have a TE who is better then cumberland with his saved money.

I doubt we find the next russel wilson, but to throw away a season, is ridiculous
