btw it's CandidateS (3rd parties rule! )
I'm not voting for him, but since he's no longer an official candidate (therefore not violating your thread's "rule"), and I am writing him in of my own accord, let me tell you a main / major reason to vote FOR The Good Doctor Ron Paul: Sane monetary policy |

Vote for Ron Paul because he will... I'm serious...I just want to hear reasons TO vote for someone, not reasons to vote against the other guy. |

like so?
Vote for The Good Doctor Ron Paul because... ... because he would abolish the "Federal" Reserve ... because he would establish sane monetary policy and return to the gold standard ... because he would end the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq ... because he respects and would uphold the US Constitution ... because he would get the deficit under control |

Vote for Obama because he's an extremely intelligent and charismatic man, the type of leader who can encourage confidence both domestically and abroad in difficult times. Vote for him because he's young and energetic and can bring energy and creativity to solving this country's issues. Vote for him because he's not afraid to ask Americans to sacrifice--a message our country needs to hear.
Not one reason yet to vote for Obama?
C'mon! You guys are supergeniuses! You can't give me one reason to vote for your guy?
I will vote for Obama because: He is the opposite of a Republican. Republicans had their chance for the past 8 years and f*cked a bunch of sh*t up. So thusly, they lose a turn, they do not pass go, they do not collect $200. I don't vote for people, I vote against people. This time I will be voting against the entire Republican party...no if's and's or but's. If there is an (R) by your name, PK will be flipping the other lever. In 2004 I voted against John Kerry. It sounds weird, right...because that means a libtard like myself voted for Bush. Well, I guess I did, didn't I. Kerry was a ball-less wonder who's speeches were a neverending stream of consciousness. So I voted against him. |

Oh, that's great...just great! You weren't born yet, but you just described another candidate over 4 decades ago in your description of Obama...I especially like the last part about asking Americans to sacrifice. In one of this candidates speeches 4 decades ago, part of his speech went like this. "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." He got us into Vietnam and man did we sacrifice...get ready young people because Iraq and Afghanistan is going to look like a turkey shoot...mark my words because I'm old enough (and sacrificed) to know that a major war will get this economy back on its feet...it always does. History has its way of repeating itself. Now, you can say a Republican might do the same thing...well, in major wars (where we've lost at least 25,000 men) dating back to WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam, you've had a democrat in office starting those wars. You can shirk it off all you want, but you can't argue those facts. If it were Republicans, you libs would be using it yourselves. And you know what else, everyone will be drafted (age wise anyway)...no ****ing deferments like was used in Vietnam...so, if you're in college, they will come and get you anyway. Oh, and by the way, the Selective Service was suspended in 1975. But, it was was resumed again in 1980 by President Carter (another democrat) in response to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The obligation of a man to register is imposed by the Military Selective Service Act. The Act establishes and governs the operations of the Selective Service System. If a draft were held today, it would be dramatically different from the one held during the Vietnam War. A series of reforms during the latter part of the Vietnam conflict changed the way the draft operated to make it more fair and equitable. If a draft were held today, there would be fewer reasons to excuse a man from service. Before Congress made improvements to the draft in 1971, a man could qualify for a student deferment if he could show he was a full-time student making satisfactory progress toward a degree. Under the current draft law, a college student can have his induction postponed only until the end of the current semester. A senior can be postponed until the end of the academic year. |

Vote for Barack Obama because we need a change in the right direction, economy/jobs/taxes/housing/and a few other issues that dosen't come to
mind as I type this thread. America needs a change, change that the american people can believe in. |

Cause he will lead in a nonpartisan way bringing this country together to get the job done
(even though his voting record is the complete opposite) (cough) Last edited by CTM; 10-11-2008 at 09:18 AM. |

I think Mr. Vick has won at what he set out to accomplish...
THEY ARE BOTH MORE OF THE SAME THING. THERE IS REALLY NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO CANDIDATES. |

You are acting like these wars just started. You are right with your history about Dems, but the last 8 years have not shown the same.
I am all for a draft, then Iraq will be over.
Oh, that's great...just great!
