I think this is an amazing technology but one thing I question in the video is that they say they could deploy an incapacitating chemical. Isn't chemical warfare illegal under the Geneva Convention?

Imagine if they could drop 10,000 stinging robots that each carries a dose of a temporary paralytic or anesthesia. Deploy them and then you have 4 hours to walk through and clean up the ones remaining and lock up the rest without firing a shot. It would also have a huge mental aspect of detering the ones who did not get stung.
