If you haven't yet, be sure to check out our own jayjay's podcast on itunes called Mohr Stories. It's very funny and has moving between the #1 and #3 downloaded podcast since it debuted a month ago.

Not to be funny, but can someone explain what a podcast is? is this a show or something...and in order to download, what if you don't have itunes? Thanks for any help

A podcast is basically a radio show that you can record from your own home with your own guests (or none). Then you put it up on itunes and people download it for FREE to listen to when they feel like it. Hope you dig it.

It's odd that you said you were listening to "Black people at the beach" but then quoted an entirely different episode just to be a creep. 716 reviews. a five star rating. ONE 1 star rating and what are the odds that's the one you pull? I would have guessed one in one. For a fleeting moment, I thought you were going to simply drop the "I like a good argument" gag and give a real, REAL opinion on the podcast. You didn't. You can't. You don't put your name on it. You are EXACTLY the type of person that gets called out on Mohr Stories. Throw a dart at any of the other 715 reviews. More importantly. Ho do YOU like the podcast? What parts do you find funny? What do you not like about it? PUT YOUR NAME ON IT. At this point I don't think you are capable of being held accountable for anything. That's not how podcast ratings work in iTunes. The reviews listed are for the sum total of all the podcasts, not for an individual episode.

If on your podcast page in iTunes you'd bother to sort on "Most Critical" you'd see that there are over 30 reviews that aren't very nice. I chose one that was representative of how those people, and myself to a large extent, feel about your work.

We played this game to a good conclusion the last time you needed a boost from Sean in the epic "Jay Mohr Is Playing Connecticut Indian Casinos" thread, replete with your staged hissy-fit and "I'm leaving JI for good you ingrates!" rant.

I'll drop all gags from here on in, Jay. I've been trying to help you, but I'll stop now, let your threads get their 45 hits and stay out of it.

You swoop in every four months to advertise a product. You can call me a lot of things, but at least I'm not insincere. The reason your threads get so little play is because you think we're stupid and can't see what your real objective is.

1. You are not Howard Stern or Charlie Sheen, so trying to be a blend of the two isn't working.

2. For the 700 known diehard members of the Jay Mohr Fanclub your podcast is a thing of wonder. For the rest of us, it's 90 minutes of a celebrity surrounded by his handlers laughing at his own jokes. What a listen.

3. Your Social Media Coach isn't doing an effective job because he completely misses the point. Just like your drop-in visits on JI, the audience can smell insincerity a mile away.

Look at my signature and tell me how keeping it up there is a good thing. Two years ago I mocked the hiring of Rex. Couldn't have been more wrong. Did I take down my sig and hide? Nope. Still there.

I've been to Indian casinos. They're in the middle of nowhere. There's nothing else to do after you've tasted every delicacy on the [I]$20 All You Can Eat Salad & Entree Bar[/I].

What I don't like about the podcast is very simple:

It's just an audition for a potential [I]Jay Mohr Radio Show[/I] where you pitch yourself as Charlie Sheen and structure yourself after Howard Stern in an attempt to get terrestrial or satellite radio to give you a contract, pay the bills. Again Jay, we're not stupid.

Here's a prediction, write it down: In six months when you fail to land a cushy radio show you'll see that it's a lot of work to do podcasts every week and they'll slow down to bi-monthly, then monthly, than every other month, then gone. And whatever loyal audience you've built to listen to them will be abandoned because your Social Media Coach has told you the 'next big thing' is a secret sex tape and you'll be off to Cancun with a blurry camcorder. Somewhere out there is a fantastic role in a film or on a sitcom. Please focus your efforts on finding it because [I]Jay Mohr The Common Man[/I] just won't work and you're wasting your time. Trust me on this one.
