Not surprising given their economic might (as in China, the country) - same thing is happening with India in cricket. Given the upheavals in Europe can expect more of this happening, for obvious reasons. I expect Messi to the Australian A league in the next 2 years, or maybe to Mumbai FC or Hong Kong FC or whatever.
