Manning meets with Philbin for 6 hours
No link, was just reported on the NFL Network a few minutes ago. Sounds like the Dolphins aren't out of the picture just yet.
Fine with Manning not coming here, but really hoping this doesn't happen. Yeah, you have to beat the best to be the best, but it's a terrible draw to have to go up against two HOF QBs four times a year. |

the report wasn't that he was meeting with them for 6 hours, it was taht it was between the 5:00-6:00 hour, but the tweet of the report said manning met with the fins "the 5-6 hour" so it was easily misinterpreted.

"Peyton Manning met with Miami Dolphins coach Joe Philbin and other staff members for roughly five to six hours Monday night, according to sources. "
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7679387/sources-peyton-manning-meets-miami-dolphins-indy-5-6-hours This isn't a 5pm-6pm type thing, they really do mean 5-6 hours. Which doesn't mean anything significant. He met with the Broncos and Cardinals for the same amount of time. Media reports always treat the length of the meeting like it makes a difference. It's almost a professional courtesy/respect type thing for a sports figure to stay for at LEAST 4 hours when they make such a high profile visit, otherwise it's embarassing for the organization. |

betting he picks Denver where they will give him the option to bring along Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne.
AFC West- Division is theirs. Get ahead in that stadium with Dumervil and Von Miller getting after the QB? nice. |

Peyton would still be a freaking idiot to go Miami.....
Denver intrigues me more now that I think about it. Tons of Cap to sign Wayne, Clark and even Garcon if he wants them to. Peyton could easily make Demariyus Thomas into a pro bowler. Excellent pass rush. Dumervil and Miller can pin their ears back and go full throttle once Manning gives them a 14-21 pt lead. My only question is does he want to call the mile high city home, it's not a fast track dome like in Arizona, and Arizona has better weather, and isn't a mile above sea level. We shall see..... |

Anyone frequent or visit a DEN board? How they doing over there?
Not all of them were drooling like some Jet fans were here.. It didn't seem the majority were on board with a possible signing citing other needs over getting Manning.. Some even called him over the hill looking for the last big payday.. |

Look Manning was a great player and is a first ballot HOF but no one knows where he stands physically. Frankly speaking, it's not going to be all that easy for him to jump into a new situation and be a superstar from day one.
Besides, we know how to beat him anyway. I couldn't care less where he ends up. |

He still seems lukewarm on Miami. Kind of telling that he met with them in Indy and not in Miami. I would have thought Miami would have been higher on his list, but it seems like he favors the Broncos or Cards
