Sitting at the lake yesterday watching people load and unload their various watercraft at the ramp.... when the wife suddenly says:

"Honey, you should get a boat."

20 minutes of probing, incredulous banter about it later...and she still thinks it would be a great idea.

Where has this woman been all my life?

First thing I would do is try to locate the discarded husk or pod; that will aid in locating your real wife.

Secondly, if no husk is found, never buy a new boat - you'll save a ton of money buying used.

Lastly, outboard motors are expensive as balls.

I had a small boat at one time. All I wound up doing was taking people and family out in it when all I wanted was to go fishing by myself and drink beer.
Could hardly wait to get rid of it. A better tack might be to befriend a boat owner and buy the beer and bait. Whatever you do, don't take the wife along.
Just bring her home the fish and have her clean them.
