We all know health care in the U.S. is too expensive. But is it really that bad? Yes.

This graphic by National Geographic is the best we've seen at summarizing the three facets of the problem: Cost, results, and access.

While there are many reasons for why our health care in this country is in this state, one thing is certain; it needed to be changed. Lives are at stake not to mention the financial hardship that has ravaged middle class families.

Both parties have shamed themselves by playing politics at the cost of the people in order to retain or retake power. Here is one instance where, despite any flaws in the laws, millions will be helped. millions.

It is more the Health Insurance companies then the Doctors or Hospitals.

Why settle for second-best? In this case, why settle for a complete cluster****, if not to pander to the far left base, the insurance companies, and the memory of a philandering, murdering alcoholic?

It's kind of like when Obama ran in '08 and people thought how great it would be to have a black president, despite his glaring lack of public sector and leadership experience. They wanted to so badly to "transcend racism" they didn't care who the candidate actually was.

To further clarify that point, these people are obsessed with cementing their own legacies, to the point that that's all they care about. Before Obama was even inaugurated, he met with Doris Kearns Goodwin and other historians to talk about how past presidents like Lincoln achieved the godlike status they are revered as today. He ran for president not with the present in mind, but the future.

It's such a bizarre way of thinking. 60+ years ago, did the men of the 101st Airborne jump out of plane over Normandy because some reporter 50 years down the road might refer to them as The Greatest Generation? No, they did it because they were living in the moment. The country needed them then and there and they answered the call.

I'm not sure this group -- Pelosi, Obama, et al, live in the moment. They live for the history books.

So I guess Japan downs just as many Big Macs as we do, but it doesn't effect them because they have gov't health care?
