Pats Will Go 16-0 Again

Whether it's The Hoodie or a their star quarterback being married to a supermodel, the Patriots aren't exactly America's team, but they do have reason to expect another successful season. I was given the task to play out every game of the coming season all the way through the Super Bowl, which meant crowning a champ in the summer. It was a laborious task, but one I truly enjoyed. I actually went week-by-week. In the end, one team went undefeated, which figures to be a hot topic for some of you. As you rip the idea of an undefeated season, I dare you do find a loss on the New England Patriots' schedule as of right now. Pick one. I couldn't. I have the Patriots rolling to a second undefeated regular season in the past five years.

You know what this is, another salute by ESPN to the Patriots. Why would you start an article with this garbage?

ESPN can't talk football. They can't talk about how Lloyd will affect the offense, or the hole left on the offensive line with Matt Light retiring. The addition of the young defensive players through the draft, etc.

There's never any substance.

Quote:
Tom Brady may be getting older, but the Patriots are loaded with young talent, and are undoubtedly hungry for another Super Bowl. Skip Bayless thinks the Patriots will win the Super Bowl at 18-to-1, while Stephen A. Smith thinks the Patriots' easy schedule gives them a good shot at going undefeated. What's your take?
What team isn't "loaded" with young talent? Give examples of the young talent that the Patriots have that will carry them. Gronk? The answer is Brady. It has been Brady, and will be Brady. Gronk on another team, pending the QB is not Gronk - he becomes another less contributing player. Sorry, that's the truth.

Skip Bayless?

Stephen A. Smith?

How do these people have jobs? There are posters on JI, Patriot fans included (even Raiders9175), that have more football savvy than these guys.

Pats are not going 16-0. But 13-3 or 14-2 is not out of the question.

As we all know, the game is not played on paper. But yes, on paper it is hard to find a loss.

But only one team has ever completed the near-impossible feat, as you Pat fans painfully learned.

If there are no significant injuries, the Pats are at least 12-4. And I think that is a conservative estimate.

unproven running game, defense is still coming off a horrible season, we have no idea what team(s) are going to be the 49ers, Texans of this season. so to sit here, look at a schedule and say the Pats will 16-0 (IN JULY!!!!) is pretty comical.

Ummmm, teams that finish 7-9 do not make the playoffs.

It's happened before. Patriots may as well just forfeit the playoffs.

Pats have one achilles heel going into 2012 & it's the idea that their offensive line will make it through a 16 game schedule.

Light is retired
Waters is no spring chicken & has retired once
Their centers are average at best
Mankins is coming off of serious surgery
The guy replacing Light (can't think of his name) has a history of back problems & had them again last year.

The rest of them are Jags
At Bradys age, he aint moving around like he used to. Giants proved again that you beat the Pats with a pass rush.
Brady only needs to be crushed once into the turf to reaggrevate that recurring shoulder injury thats plagued him somewhat the past three seasons.
I just don't see him sitting back there eating a ham sandwich like he did last year.
We'll see

If Jets go 7-9 they will not make the playoffs b.c they will not win the division @ 7-9 like Seattle did.
