Camp Updates

First plays in 11-on-11s: Sanchez hits Hill for nice catch off Revis; Tebow "sacked" by Nick Bellore. #Jets

Tebow completes long ball to Kerley, 40 yards, with the requisite wobble #jets

Tim Tebow lofts a 45 yard td pass to Jeremy Kerley, which is negated by an offsides penalty. #nyj

Dexter Jackson has a nice 40yard end around with the 2nd team.

Results of first team period: Sanchez 2-for-3, Tebow 1-for-1, McElroy 0-for-1. #Jets

Tebow hit Dexter Jackson on this throw. #nyj

Santonio with a beautiful sideline catch in 7 on 7s. Revis was pissed. #Jets

Sanchez picked by Revis. Looks like he misread coverage. #Jets

WR Jeremy Kerley also having a good first day for Jets. Santonio Holmes on point as well. Stephen Hill gets reps with 1st, 2nd, 3rd team.

Chaz Schilens gets not enough love. Runs solid underneath route & comes up w/ catch. If healthy, can make #jets fans forget Braylon. #nfl

Vlad Ducasse & Matt Slauson are rotating between first & second team units #Jets

7 on 7s: Sanchez went 4 for 8 with INT. Tebow went 4 for 6. #nyj

Per media rules we're not allowed to report on trick plays like fake punts by the backup QB.

I just saw Sal Palantonio and Keyshawn report from TC and they said that Sanchez looks in command, accurate, sharp and ripped with a lot of extra muscle. They sounded very much impressed with his demeanor and his throwing. It was encouraging to hear, even though it's only the first day of camp.

Tebow holds onto the ball too long nearly every time. Looks indecisive. #nyj

Rookie G Robert Griffin is walking off the field with a trainer. He was being worked on for several minutes for what looked like cramping.

This is interesting. Hopefully we get some more info on this.

Feel bad for Sanchez and Tebow. Every single pass is getting scrutinized. It is freakin practice.

I tend to agree, but after monitoring the scrutiny going back to mini-camp, I get the sense that it has forced Sanchez to grow up, take it like a man, create a shell, and go out and work harder. He seems so much more focused and confident in his interviews and body language.

I'm not expecting much from Vlad, but if he has a great camp and pushes for a starting job, it would be a great plus.

I agree Tim Tebow's greatest contribution to the Jets might be to speed up Mark Sanchez's maturation process ...ironic if it comes to pass.
