I went to the R&R HOF on Sunday...they have a great exhibit on the Dead. Not really my music...but was very cool to see handwritten songs, guitars, clothes and other memorabilia (even a couple of Jerry's bowls!)

I couldn't listen to them for years, one of my best friends got me hooked on them years ago, when he was killed on 911 it took a long time for me to listen again...now found memories of a great guy taken way before his prime.

I forgot it was even today. Saw them at their last performance ever in Canada (1991) Saw them in Seattle the Summer Jerry died. Had a chance to go to the show in Chicago with Dylan opening....the one that turned out to be his final concert. Hind sight 50/50 and all. |

Still have the tickets floating around somewhere for the last show at the Boston Garden - September 95'. I always thought that there'd be a St. Stephen appearance there. Perhaps too trite.

Damn, that's gotta be rough. Or there was the time (91?) I was tripping on LSD in Albany and lost all of my friends just when the house lights went down. I spent the entire concert (virtually) alone, tripping my face off on mushrooms & LSD. Found my friends at a nearby bar after the show was over. Come to find out those series of concerts I was at (including that very night) was released as 'Dozin' At The Knick'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dozin'_at_the_Knick A long strange trip indeed.

![]() So the concert starts, my friends are all whacked out and part way into the show--the whole band leaves the stage except the drummer and he played a drum solo for about an hour (it seemed) and everyone was just SO into it and I was like "WTF" after about 20 minutes. Then Jerry and Weir and Lesh and the rest of the band comes back on stage all wearing wolfman masks and the break into a version of Werewolves of London. Bizarre. _ |

Worked a few of their shows at MSG.
Before the shows, we got fliers with photos of teens "missing" from their home states that were believed to be following the band around. ![]() SOme scene there...."I need a miracle man....one ticket...I need a miracle" - |
