Jeff Tedford fired from Cal.

This should be the next QB coach for the Jets. Guy has been able to coach up his QBs his whole career.

Offensive coordinator is probably more realistic, but if we somehow had him in here as QB coach it would be a huge step up from the moron we have now

Yes, not only that but he was able to get Joey Harrington, Akili Smith, David Carr and Kyle Boller ALL to be first round picks in the draft.

Pretty surprised at that to be honest. I thought he would be a fixture there for a long long time.

NFL teams will definitely be interested in this guy. Could be an interesting name to go after assuming the entire staff isn't brought back (which a 7-9 or 8-8 season could lead to)

There's NO reason to delay the process. Start Geno Smith.

Actually, Tedford has done a good job coaching college QBs but a bad job "molding" them into NFL QBs.

Tedford is known to teach his QBs the high throwing position which is simply unworkable in the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers actually needed a few years on the Packers bench to learn how to properly throw the ball. The Packers coaches taught him that.
