Movies/TV shows that best describe what's going on

I'm trying to explain to my wife what's going on with the Jets and I'm looking for a movie or a TV show that best illustrates what's going on. The best analogy I can come up with is the episode on Seinfeld when Kramer ends up working for a financial firm and at first his bosses are impressed with his unorthodox methods but then soon realizes he doesn't really know what the hell he's doing.

This to me feels like the best analogy in regards to what's going on with Rex.

Groundhog Day. We all know we are going to keep reliving the same infuriating Sunday of crappy QB play over...and over...and over...and over...

Groundhog press conf coming up later today from Rex : "I believe in Mark. He gives us the best chance to win."

Seriously, at this point this feels like NO WAY OUT with Kevin Costner

Where everyone's looking for the 'problem' and it's actually the young guy right in front of them. Great movie btw. Hackman even looks like Rex; and there's Tanny too!

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

We're Neal Page being dragged around cluelessly by Del Griffith aka Rex: the fat, eternally optimistic, over talkative idiot.

This is how I picture Rex in control of our team.
