Exactly. And, as a thread consumer, I feel cheated in that I invested time ridiculing him in the boot thread and we still dont know which of those leather herman monster shoes he bought. They're cool, but not for 162.00 they aren't.

Agreed. There's just no circumstance where cufflinks are called for where these would be deemed appropriate.
