Official Game Predictions: Jets-Chargers

We know how bad the Jets are, so let's look at the Chargers:

-Guess who's right behind Mark Sanchez (50) in the list of most turnovers since 2011? Phillip Rivers with 47.

-Jets run defense can be had, but the Chargers just lost their starting running back, Ryan Mathews for the rest of the season. The Chargers also have not scored a rushing TD since Week 5. Every other NFL team has since that time.

-Getting thrashed 31-7 at home by the Carolina Panthers has suggested to people that the players have officially quit on Norv Turner.

-Rex is 2-0 with the Jets against San Diego and the Chargers are forced to play the classic West-Coast early game.

My prediction:

Jets 17
Chargers 10

Difference is that we have yet to see the Jets players quit on Rex while the Chargers have seemingly quit on Norv already.

Chargers 20
Jets 13

McElroy 180 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Rivers 275 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs

A loss is better for us long-term

It is. But the Chargers seem to have quit on Norv. That shellacking at home against Carolina says alot.

Possible, but we don't have Cam Newton. If their D shows up, they'll beat us in a low scoring crappy game (which it will be anyway)

McElroy goes HAM. That's the way it works in Jet-land, right?

If it were late 2010, perhaps.

Yeah maybe if it's raining. I'm thinking more like 29 for 30.

Too bad the Jets aren't playing Sanchez, between him and Rivers they could have set some kind of record for horrifyingly bad turnovers in a game.

I couldn't care less if we win or lose.

I'm watching this game for one reason and one reason only.

To see what McElroy can do.

I'm on it, regardless.
