Arrow The Ravens & Patriots Rivalry: A Brief History

(pulled this from another board)

The Ravens and Patriots, despite not being in the same division, seem to play each other a lot - they will now play for the sixth time in the past four years (all but one game taking place in New England). The Patriots have gotten the better of the Ravens overall but each contest has come down to the wire (...except for that one blowout which was pretty cool).
Here's a recap of the final moments over the past six years:

2007
The Patriots were chasing perfection while the Ravens were just trying to reach mediocrity for the year. In what many called "Baltimore's Super Bowl" (edit: for that year), the Ravens had [1] stopped Tom Brady on 4th down (5:00 mark) and had all but won the game -- except Rex Ryan got hungry and needed to squeeze in a snack time out. The Patriots would go on to convert a couple 4th downs and if that wasn't dramatic enough, Kyle Boller threw a desperation heave as time expired that made it all the way to the 2 yd line.

2009
A Sophomore Flacco is marching his team to victory, down 21-27. With 30 seconds left and needing only 14 yards til pay-dirt, he looks to convert on 4th down but [2] Mark Clayton outright drops the pass (2:25 mark). It wouldn't be the last time a receiver let Joe down in Gillette.
Later, the Ravens would [3] roll over the Patriots in Wildcard week in the rivalry's only recent lopsided game.

2010
The Ravens and Patriots meet in the regular season once again and Baltimore pulls out to a 20-10 lead. Tom Brady & Co. battle back but four quarters were not enough to decide a victor. In OT, the Patriots [4] move down the field and hit the easy FG to grab the win.

2011
The two teams once again meet at Gillette stadium, except this time the stakes were at their highest. As per usual, the game was tight and came down to the end. [5] There was a receiver guy that didn't receive and then a kicker dude that didn't kick right (10:45 mark).

2012
With the bitter taste of the AFCCG still in their mouths, Baltimore hosts New England in a game full of sloppy officiating, manure chants, and another nail-biting finish. Justin Tucker, replacement for kicker dude, comes in for another chip shot FG and [6] makes the ending as dramatic and controversial as ever (3:30 mark).
After the past six games, the Ravens have scored 125 points and the Patriots have put up 120.

That brings us to Sunday, where the Patriots try to push the AFC out of the way once again on their journey to the Super Bowl while the Ravens, always the bridesmaid and never the bride, are looking to push past a familiar foe and send Ray Lewis off right. One things for sure, you're going to want to get the DVR ready.
...oh and the two teams will face each other next season for a rematch yet again.

Sorry that this one appears to have crashed and burned. I, for one, appreciated it.
