great article...as much as i like the hire and everything from ex-nfl to current nfl mgmt people hail the move ..its just a crapshoot in the end lets hope our luck has changed...

That is a great article and it did look at the pros and cons of the hire.
Where he did not like their approach to do ding a QB, I applaud the fact that they were aggressive and they kept at it until they got it right. And not to nitpick, but he did undersell their 2012 draft. Irvin led all Rookies in sacks, Wagner (their 2nd rounder) led the team in tackles, and we all know about their 3rd pick, Russell Wilson. |

What kind of backwards world is this where the paid professional writers don't have the talent to produce something like that, but a hobbyist does and can and people love it.
That's just about the best, most measured analysis I've read on the jets in a while. Nate Silver also started out as a freelancer until the Times recognized his talent and gave him a more official vehicle for his posts. They'd be wise to do the same with Jason. |
