Star Lotulei - The Next Haloti Ngata

If Warmack isn't there at 9 this has to be the guy. Not only is massive and powerful he is very quick just like Ngata. Great against the run and gives good pass rush at NT.

Would make Pouha expendable and give us another $2.5 mil in cap room.

If he is that good then you forget that we have more pressing needs and get the guy because 3 years down the road if the guy is a multiple pro bowler and our nt's are long gone you can regret it. I'm not especially pumping Star for the pick but NT can still be seen as enough of a potential need that he could be considered.

@mortreport: Utah DT Star Lotulelei, projected top five 5 draft pick, will not work out after echocardiogram detected heart condition. Filed to ESPN.

@mortreport: Lotulelei's left ventricle is pumping at 44 percent efficiency - normal range is 55-70 percent. He will undergo more tests in Salt Lake City

@JasonLaCanfora: Lotulelei was asked by combine not to compete til seeing a specialist. He is still interviewing w/NFL teams here - sees specialist this week

For those of you who think Nose is not a need you are in for a rude awakening. Pouha sucked last year and is 33 with a bad back. If you don't have a great NT who consistently draws double-teams the 3-4 defense shatters.

Better idea to reach for a mediocre OLB prospect like Dion Jordan or Sam Montgomery who didn't even get good sack #'s in college. Good replace for Gholston
