49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

SF is loaded with draft picks..They have 12 now without compensatory picks announced yet???

A 1, 2 #2s, 2#3s...They'll be trading up all draft to get guys they want and end up with 6-7 studs.

Chiefs will trade second-round pick this year - the top pick in second round - as well as another conditional mid-round pick in 2014.

Also, KC won't be sitting at 33 ready to scoop a QB we may be interested in taking later in the 2nd round. May help prevent the Jets from making a big mistake by taking one with their 9th pick.

They are projected to have 3 comp picks so they will have an outrageous amount of ammo to move up or trade for players. They are already a pretty stacked team so they may pull a New england and trade for future picks. Maybe they would like to get their hands on an all world CB?

He's also not an average QB. Revis' value is much greater than Smith's.
