Just finished in the Euro 2008 Qualifiers - Scotland 1-0 France!!!

Woo hoo!!!

First time Scotland have beaten France in 17 YEARS.

Wenger - Scotland could be 'toughest test' for France

Arsène Wenger expects Scotland to provide France with one of the toughest tests of their Euro 2008 qualification campaign.

Raymond Domenech's side travel to Hampden Park on Saturday with an unblemished record in Group B after winning in Georgia and outclassing Italy, their World Cup Final conquerors, at the Stade de France last month.

However, Scotland also have two wins out of two and lead France on goal difference at the top of the group. Wenger has been impressed by Walter Smith's young team and predicts a close game in Glasgow.

"Maybe it will be the toughest test for France," said the Arsenal manager.

"Italy at home was a soft test really because they [the Italians] had not come down from the clouds of winning the World Cup. They played a bit casual. Away it might be tougher for France if Italy needs the points, but at the moment the toughest test will be Scotland.

"Scotland looks to me as though they are on the way up. They have found the way to win games again, they have a young generation — Kenny Miller, Darren Fletcher, Barry Ferguson, Nigel Quashie. They have good players and are strong physically."

Wenger will be rooting for his home country, who have Arsenal duo Thierry Henry and William Gallas in their ranks. However, he believes that the visit of France will be a defining moment in Scotland's quest to qualify for Euro 2008.

"This game might decide it," said Wenger. "You will see the real potential of Scotland. Certainly from this game they will get the belief on whether they can qualify or not."
