Today, Al Gore is to deliver a scathing rebuke of the Bush Administration and its culpability in the catastrophic global warming we're allegedly enduring ON THE COLDEST DAY IN NEW YORK IN OVER 10 YEARS.
This guy was born with a "kick me" sign tattood on his back. Internet inventor speaks... |

It is ironic isn't it?
I'd also bet that Gore refers to the cold weather during his speech. He has a great sense of humor and he's sure to include a lighthearted reference to today's cold. |

ironically enough the latest theories are that climate change such as global warming could lead to an ice age... im not an expert by any means but think it has something to do with the elimanation of the gulf stream ... The entire Green movement is based on creating catastrophies and second-rate class warfare. A former head of Greenpeace has ADMITTED this and it was a big part of why he left. What about in California and Washington when the greens wanted to stop logging to save the spotted owl? Well, they destroyed dozens of local communities and cost hundreds of jobs and guess what? It didn't help the spotted owls, in fact, they are worse off now! And the thinning of the forests would have helped combat the fires they experienced there recently!! The hole in the ozone layer is getting SMALLER!
It insults intelligent people to act as if the science is even CLOSE to settled regarding global warming. We simply do not have enough historical data, sorry. We just don't. Kyoto is a complete joke and Gore and Clinton knew it. They flapped their gums about it and did nothing. Actions count, not words. Why is China exempt? Do their fossil fuels not contribute to climate change?? Why isn't Putin raked over the coals as 'defying' the international community on this one, as Bush has been? Would liberals honestly be happier if Bush called a press conference and talked about how great Kyoto was, and then proceeded to do nothing? Is it really gestures and not actions that impress them? |

On part of the tour they pointed out an area where the lava had slid; one side was beautifully regrown with lots of plantation-of course that was the side tended to by man and nutured after the volcano. The other side looked as though the ashes were still smoldering...yup, that was the side they left for nature to take care of naturally. |

All this is okay with you? I'm just trying to understand how is the continuation of any of these okay for this planet and ultimately for us? If there aren't green alarmists, think how much worse this planet would be. For example, there wouldn't have been a restriction on fluorocarbons (spelling?) and how big would the ozone hole be then? How many more animals would go extinct if someone didn't slow that down? Ultimately, how selfish a species can we be? |
