I've got a 1999 A6 which I bought in 2001 with 32K miles. I just passed the 118K mile mark. No major problems....love the car.

Good thinking. Buy a 7 year old car that is expensive to fix. GET YOURSelf somthing newer for the same amount of money without the fancy name. When your ready to buy a luxury car, you should buy one new or freshly off a lease. Because they are always brutal to fix. I had a freakin bull**** chip go in my old Benz C36 AMG and it cost me 1400. I didn't even know what the ****ing chip did?

The Pearl Jam Stickman Tattoo. He started a thread declaring his intentions about getting it, received a bunch of heart-felt, thoughtful responses, AND, as usual, abandoned the thread and moved on to his next nebulous thought, giving no closure to the eejits that wasted their time trying to counsel him. The kid is the A.D.D. poster child with a Jets jersey and mad cash. |

Well that didn't last long....
I got my license about a month ago and since my parents are looking into getting new cars, I will be getting my dad's '01 bravada. I already drive it around everywhere. So if you really want that Audi I guess go ahead and get it, but I'm sure you could find MUCH better deals for MUCH better cars. |

btw if anyone is looking for a nice used car I recommend...
http://www.autotrader.com/dealer/inf...&firstRecord=1 I picked up a great car there this winter that my daughter will learn to drive on, she gets her permit next week , anyway it is a mint 330i with under 30k miles and was very reasonably priced.

That's not why some Jewish people won't buy German cars. It's because during WWII all the German auto manufacturers were making vehicles for the military and all were supplied with Jewish slave labor courtesy of the Nazisp to churn out as many as possible. So some Jewish people have a problem reckoning that idea.....

They're reliable & get great gas mileage. Otherwise all that money that was going into the bank will be going into your car instead. What's your budget? |

First car was this(although mine had alot more bond-o, and was a different color-and brakes were shot)...69 Caprice with 290hp 350cubic inches..Plus, the size of the trunk could double as a camper. Great classic affordable american luxury. Lots of frame to protect you in an accident.
Go with this, you won't be sorry.

I don't think the Jetta is the same size as the A4. I think the A4 is between the Jetta and the Passat, but closer to the Passat.
