Conservatives have been quiet because all the garbage going on with the economy and Iraq is their fault. McBush's entire campaign is just fear and smear that Obama is a terrorist, illegal alien, closet muslim, closet gay who's going to turn America into a communist country.

Oh and there's that reverend guy he talked too. Yeah, I'd much rather have 4 more years of Bush.
You've united behind this drivel?

McCain has a much better chance to win than acknowledged.
Just wondering? Its the same 8-10 Leftist posters spamming the board with Pro-Obama, conspiracy theory, radical leaning tripe...and ANYBODY here with a dissenting (Right-of-Center) viewpoint seems to get lambasted, insulted, and vilified as a racist/sexist/bigot. This isn't a "Political Forum", its a Liberal Blog filled with left-leaning internet "toughguys", conspiracy theorists, and kids who don't know anything beyond what their socialist teachers and Keith Olberman have told them to believe.
seriously???

the libs are the thugs here? that's funny bro, some of the most vile attacks on this board are not from the boards libs, not even close imo

I have no problem with conservatives, but come on man what do you expect Bush was perhaps the worst president in the history of this country. We are in the worst financial crisis since the great depression. People want change and McCain hasn't said or done anything to make people believe things will be different. When Obama speaks he inspires people in way that I haven't seen since Reagan. Obama provides people with hope and thats what the majority of people in this country want right now.

Can someone point me to a store that takes "hope" for it's goods and services? No?

Look, I'm all for "hope". But I'm a realist, and realisticly, I see my taxes going up and my costs per month increasing. I also see plenty more that won't help me (and I am decidedly lower-middle-class) and may indeed hurt me and my opportunities.

So until the Hope you're referring to can pay for some of my bills, I'll stick with what I know.....cash money, which i expect to have less of per month under President Elect Obama.

I for one thought this forum was much more informative when DeanPatsFan and CBNY were spamming the board with daily Obama conspiracies...

It's kind of funny that they shot their wad on this stuff when he was running against Hillary. Anyone want to guess the impact of the rev. wright tapes if they were released last week? Turns out Hillary may have played a big part in getting Obama elected..

This must be the dumbest thing I have ever seen posted on this board..............bar none................including Tx comments.

I usually stay out of the debate on who is the better choice but I can clearly see that there is a sufficient base on both sides that hurl the nasty, untrue, typical commentary that accompanies every election. If I had to guess, to be honest I see more insults from the right. someone made a good point, there is less now because McCain is down, he isnt well liked for a number of reasons and it doesnt look like he will win. If there was a better republican candidate, the conversations here would be dominated by the right.

Hope is a poor excuse for a strategy and is meaningless unless there is a sound plan standing behind it. The question then becomes does one candidate inspire hope? and if so is there a plan behind it that can work?

BO speaks a good game, but can he back it up? I HOPE that I'm pleasantly surprised as should everyone be regardless of where you stand, wanting BO to fail just to prove your point is idiotic but I think alot of people actually think that way because having their party fix things is greater than things simply being fixed regardless of who takes the credit for it.
Who said this forum is ruined? Granted there are too many dumb proBama articles being posted but what do you expect? The liberals finally have their chance to f*ck up Iraq & Afghanistan, kill job growth, and cater to the whims of our enemies by getting an inexperienced smooth talker in the White House (I'm guessing the response to this will be "u mean like Bush LOL"). Can any Republican here honestly say they wouldn't be as obnoxious and immature if McCain was leading in the polls?

They'll get their change, and then when they realize that Obama isn't cut out to be a leader of men or nations in two years they'll blame his mistakes on Bush.
f*ck up Iraq & Afghanistan? They're both already f*cked up, no?

Kill job growth? yeah, but really who could match the whole -160k jobs that were created last month... I mean it's such a staggering high figure of job creation, it would be nearly impossible to achieve by a Democrat!

cater to the whims of our enemies? you said it, just like Bush did when he illegally invaded Iraq for no reason, just as Al-Q would've wanted us to. Boy has recruiting and fighting us been difficult since Bush uttered the phrase 'crusade' and illegally invaded possibly the 2nd Holyest country in all of Islam

WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN THE LAST 8 YEARS?!?

There's no way of knowing what an Obama or McCain presidency will mean for the economy. Everyone's saying the market will bounce back because it always does. Our country has probably been in three or four dire situations as bad as this one, and a sample of three or four isn't large enough to say our economy will always bounce back. Not to mention,we have never had a deficit like this or as many credit strapped Americans. Throw in Chinese loans, our factories overseas etc...this is all new territory. There's no telling what can happen. We've needed a correction for a long long time and I suspect this is the tip of the iceberg.

There is one thing I feel I can safely say. With Obama, we won't be dropping billions of dollars worth of missiles in the sand. That alone is enough for me.

You would benefit under Obama's tax plan. McCain would step over you and pretend you weren't there.
Get a grip.

Lol, no worries about my "grip" here my old friend.

And I have to remind you, your claim is based on facts not in evidence:

Obama claims I will benefit. His voting record (and simple economics) says I will not, that he will raise my taxes, and riase my costs by raising the taxes of others.

I'll be fine either way. Just mking the point that "hope" never paid for anyones groceries is all. ;)

I don't think the election is going to be able to be completed today. According to Fox News there are a lot of voting problems in the swing states!
:)
