The constitution doesn't say "guns"...it says arms. How about my backyard 40 mega-joule rail gun? :D

at the time of the drafting of the constitution, arms =guns. enough with the semantics

It's not semantics. Both words existed back then...they chose to use "arms" for a reason. Do you think the founding fathers wanted to prohibit people from carrying swords, daggers, knives or 40 mega-joule rail guns?
