That was true for all the "Argentinian prodogies" since Maradona, Riquelme, Aimar, Ortega etc. etc. They were all the next Maradona but Messi is a little different. He's gotten european fundemantal and South American flair.
I expect he actually might be better than the mighty D10s himself when all is said and done.
