Guess it was just a matter of time...some injuries, but overall a very poor showing of late...

Wow. Talk about bad timing. Thought they'd wait for the end of the season.

They're almost out of contention for 1st. if they don't qualify for the Champions League, look for guys like Ribery to want out.

Agreed. I would assume they'd wait til the end of the season, but there you have it.

There's been noise of Ribery wanting out for awhile...rumors to Chelsea , Man City, Barcelona

....That will be a huge loss for Bayern, but Franks going to get paid-deservedly so. Favorite player to watch on that team-bar none! The guy just has a motor that won't quit.

I always enjoy watching guys like him who provoke and try to actually beat the guy in front of them. Great player, fun teammate, and all around nice guy. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but still likeable and humble.

He says he loves playing for Bayern where he's a God. It's been reported that Henry and Abidal call him regularly saying he'd be perfect for Barca. If they fail to qualify for the CL they'll have a hard time keeping him.

...to think our American owners had Klinsmann in line to replace Rafa Benitez!!

Replacing Benitez with Klinsmann.....it just boggles the mind at the cluelessness of it all. It wasn't until there was massive fan support thrown behind Benitez when it became public knowledge of what the Americans wanted to do that they backed away from it.
